Pioneers in Clear Aligner Treatment in Australia
One of the biggest advancements in modern orthodontics is the introduction of clear aligners—including popular brands like Invisalign, Spark, and Clarity. These discreet alternatives to metal braces have become increasingly popular among teens and adults seeking a more aesthetic option for straightening teeth.
Dr Andrew Wood was one of the early adopters of clear aligner treatment, not only in Geelong and Colac but across Australia. Under his leadership, our practice has successfully treated over 2,000 clear aligner cases. His mentorship continues to inspire and train our next generation of orthodontists.
Expanding Our Orthodontic Team
In 2013, Dr Amanda Leen, a Geelong local, returned home to bring her advanced training and orthodontic expertise to the community. Skilled in both clear aligners and traditional braces, Dr Leen excels in managing complex orthodontic cases using the latest technologies.
More recently, Dr Mike Mladenovic joined in 2022, followed by Dr Nancy Rajan in 2025. Dr Mike brings a unique perspective, having practiced as a general dentist in Geelong before pursuing orthodontics. Many of his patients are now returning as teens for braces and aligners!
Digital Orthodontics: A More Comfortable Experience
We proudly use 3D scanners and digital orthodontic tools in both our Geelong and Colac clinics. This means no more messy dental impressions. Scanning is quicker, more comfortable, and less intimidating for young patients.

In 2024, we said a fond farewell to Dr Andrew Wood, who retired after 40 years of service to enjoy time with his family. His legacy lives on in our commitment to patient-centered orthodontic care and continual innovation.
